Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 August 2026
This site is operated by Patrick Vieljeux, an independent freelance professional based in Portugal, trading as Pipewrite (“Pipewrite”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Questions: info@pipewrite.com.
What we collect
Information you give us: your name and email when you apply for access, subscribe to the newsletter, or contact us, plus anything you choose to include in a message.
Information collected automatically: basic usage and device data through cookies and privacy-respecting analytics (for example pages visited and general location), used only to understand and improve the site.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
To reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to deliver the service (basis: your request, or performance of a contract).
To send you our newsletter or updates, only if you asked for them (basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link).
To keep the site secure and improve it (basis: our legitimate interest in running a functional, safe site).
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with the service providers that make this site work (for example email delivery, analytics, form handling, and hosting), who process it on our instructions. Where any provider is outside the EU, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
We keep your data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw any consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email info@pipewrite.com. If you believe your data has been mishandled, you may lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).
Cookies
The site uses essential cookies to function and, with your agreement, analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above will always reflect the current version.
